Day 1: Cape Town
Arrive Cape Town and transfer to your hotel. Relax for the day, evening you could go to the vibrant V&A waterfront. Overnight Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town
Discover the Mother City! Enjoy the spectacular views from Table mountain (weather permitting). Explore the vibrant V & A Waterfront and World Heritage Site, Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela spent almost 19 years of his life). Tonight you are at leisure to explore the restaurants and vibrant nightlife of the city. Overnight Cape Town.
Day 3: CapeTown
Today offers a full and exciting day touring the Cape Peninsula. Highlights include: Cape Point Nature Reserve, a visit to the penguin colony at Simon's Town and Groot Constantia. Overnight Cape Town.
Day 4: Cape Town /Stellenbosch
Today depart on a journey through the scenic wine lands of the Cape. Enjoy wine tasting at well-known estates. Visit the historic town of Stellenbosch. Overnight Stellenbosch.
Day 5: Stellenbosch
Today we visit Paarl and the Franschhoek Valley- time to browse the beautiful town of Franschoek. Tonight: Township dancing by local entertainment and dinner in the midst of the Stellenbosch Wine lands. Overnight Stellenbosch.
Day 6: Langeban
Depart for West Coast. Tea at a well-known South African artist's gallery in Philadelphia. Highlights of today: a visit to the quaint little town of Darling and a bird watching cruise on the Berg River. Tonight you will be entertained in a real West Coast manner! Entertainment by local artists with traditional West Coast dinner. Overnight Langebaan.
Day 7: Langeban /Tulbagh
Depart for Tulbagh. En route we visit the Langebaan Nature Reserve. Then we wave all automobiles goodbye for a while and spend some time in Porterville on a tour by horse carriage. On to the lovely Cape Dutch town of Tulbagh where the evening is all yours. Overnight Tulbagh.
Day 8: Tulbagh / Montague
Morning breakfast and walk down Tulbagh's Church Street with its many National Monuments. Depart for Montagu via Worcester and the farming community of Nuy. On way stop for a traditional South African "potjiekos" lunch and a veld trip. This evening you are free to explore the quiet little town of Montagu. Have an early night as the next day will be full day. Overnight Montague.
Day 9: Montague /Oudtshoorn
Spend the day traveling through the unique landscape of the Little Karoo. Arrive in Oudtshoorn, in time to visit CP Nel Museum to learn a little more about the ostrich boom towards the end of the 19th century. Tonight: dinner while you listen to "the song of the ostrich"! Overnight Oudtshoorn.
Day 10: Oudtshoorn / Knysna
Today is a busy day, visiting an Ostrich Show Farm and the Cango Caves (one of the great natural wonders of the world) before we take to the road again. Our theme for dinner and entertainment tonight: African Fusion! Overnight Knysna.
Day 11: Knysna
Explore Knysna - "place of the dark green ferns". Highlights include a visit to the Knysna Elephant Park, a sunset cruise to The Heads - the spectacular entrance to the Knysna Lagoon - and time to explore this charming coastal town. Overnight Knysna.
Day 12: Knysna
This morning drive to Plettenberg Bay and on to the Tsitsikamma Forest where we will go on a Woodcutter's Tour and have lunch next to the Storms River. On our way back to Knysna we stop at the artists' community at Old Nick's before we get to Plett where we have the chance to look around a bit. Treat yourself to a few of Knysna's famous oysters. Overnight Knysna.
Day 13: Knysna /Albertinia
Travel from Knysna to Wilderness by means of the well-known Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe (if running). On the way down the coast stop in Mossel Bay where you will have the chance to meet some of the local interesting people who live and work here. At Gouritz River Bridge stop to cheer on the bungy jumpers. Enjoy dinner with an evening of farmers' music, cuisine and dancing - on a ostrich farm. Overnight Albertinia.
Day 14: Albertinia
Visit the two of the most unusual industry The Aloe and Thatch Reed industries in Mossel Bay-Albertinia district. Try out lunch at the popular seaside resort of Stilbaai. Late afternoon games drive at a private game reserve that will be followed by dinner in a boma. Overnight Albertinia.
Day 15: Albertina/ CapeTown
Travel to Cape Town via L'Agulhas at the southern most tip of Africa, and the bustling resort town of Hermanus continue to Cape Town - time for last minute shopping and a last opportunity to experience the Mother City by night. Overnight Cape Town.
Day 16: Cape Town/ Home
After breakfast transfer to the international airport for your return flight back home after a memorable tour.
