Port Elizabeth:
The only largest city in the province and probably one of South Africa's best kept secrets. It has wide range of lively activity beaches, excellent golf courses, Humewood being one of the notable ones . A great base for day trips to Addo Elephant National Park, Shamwari, The Baviaanskloof, Port Alfred Jeffrey's Bay and Grahamstown. The architecture reflects the colonial past and the many cultural activities offer an insight to the lives of the people of this friendly city.
Grahamstown:
The most intellectual city home to Rhodes University many of country's top schools and a host of academically to oriented museums.
The Wild Coast:
The major attractions are the unspoiled coastal scenery and friendly picturesque villages with a laid back feel. A community project on the northern Wild coast that offers horse riding, canoeing , and fishing from beautiful tented camps overlooking a turquoise blue lagoon.
Tsitsikamma National Park:
The park consists of a rugged coastline and lush forests. Hikers can enjoy Otter Trail but it has to be booked in advance. The Dolphin Trail is good for walkers. There are day walks scenic boat trips up the gorge and scuba diving in the area.
Mountain Zebra National Park:
This national park was set up specifically to protect the zebra. It offers a unique opportunity to experience the park by taking one of the hiking trails.
